Overview1st Assistant Golf Professional / Golf Operations Manager
Location: Superstition Springs Golf Club, Mesa, AZ
Superstition Springs GC seeks a dedicated and experienced Golf Operations Manager to oversee and enhance the overall golf experience for our members and guests. The Golf Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in managing daily golf operations, coordinating events, and ensuring exceptional service at every touchpoint.
Experience Required
Qualifications:
- PGA / LPGA Apprentice or Member preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in golf operations management or a related role.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of golf industry trends, rules, and etiquette.
Essential Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Pro Shop, including merchandise sales, tee time reservations, and member services.
- Maintain inventory levels, coordinate merchandise displays, and ensure a welcoming environment for members and guests.
- Manage the tee sheet and coordinate tee times to optimize course utilization.
- Monitor the pace of play and implement strategies to ensure an efficient and enjoyable golf experience.
- Plan and execute golf events, tournaments, and outings, coordinating with the F&B team as needed.
- Communicate with participants, handle registrations, and ensure smooth event logistics.
- Provide excellent customer service to members and guests, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Foster a customer-centric culture among staff and maintain high service standards.
- Supervise and assist training Pro Shop staff, starters, and rangers.
- Collaborate with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure seamless coordination between golf operations and course maintenance.
- Monitor and enforce golf course policies and rules.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Track revenue and expenses related to golf operations.
