- Airport Financial Manager
Description
The Airport Financial Manager position is in the Finance Division of the Department of Aviation. The position requires familiarity with construction and maintenance contracts. The position will oversee the life cycle of construction and maintenance contracts from procurement to execution and contract management, ensuring compliance with City of Austin's rules and regulations.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to Finance, Accounting, or Economics plus five (5) years of experience in a finance related field, including two (2) years of management experience. Additionally, experience must include one (1) year of accounting. Up to twelve (12) hours of accounting coursework may substitute for accounting experience.
Graduation with a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, or Business related field or a CPA certification may substitute for two (2) years of experience requirement.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience executing, managing, and monitoring construction or maintenance contracts.
Experience negotiating contract terms and conditions with various stakeholders.
Candidate is knowledgeable of contract law, terms, and conditions.
Ability to travel to multiple sites as part of the regular job duties.
