Position Summary

This position is the chief executive officer of the Foundation and reports to the Board of Directors. This individual is responsible for advancing the Foundation’s mission, managing its strategic direction, overseeing operations and staff, and cultivating key relationships with donors, nonprofit partners, and civic leaders.

This is an opportunity for a visionary, mission-driven leader to guide a well-established and financially sound community foundation into its next chapter of growth, relevance, and impact.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

• Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction in partnership with the Board.
• Champion the Foundation’s mission and values throughout the community.
• Lead organizational planning, policy development, and risk management.

Development & Donor Engagement

• Build and steward relationships with current and prospective donors.
• Lead initiatives to grow assets and planned giving.
• Ensure excellent donor services and effective fund management.

Community Engagement & Impact

• Serve as a visible and trusted community leader.
• Develop strategic grantmaking priorities aligned with community needs.
• Foster partnerships with nonprofits, civic organizations, and government entities.

Operations & Governance

• Oversee all day-to-day operations and a high-performing staff team.
• Ensure financial oversight, compliance, and reporting.
• Work closely with the Board of Directors on governance and strategic oversight.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience, preferably in philanthropy, nonprofit management, or
• community development.
• Track record of successful fundraising and donor stewardship.
• Strong financial acumen and organizational management skills.
• Passion for community engagement, equity, and public service.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and public speaking skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/MPA preferred.
