Description
Join the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Capital Stress Testing team. This team resides within the CIB Planning and Analysis (P&A) team. This team partners with the Corporate Capital Stress Testing team (CCST) preparing JPMC's Capital Plan to demonstrate capital strength under stress conditions as part of the regulatory Comprehensive Capital Analysis & Review (CCAR) framework.As a Commercial & Investment Bank Planning & Analysis Stress Test Vice President on the CIB Capital Stress Testing team you will contribute to the development of standards for capital stress testing across CIB. The primary focus areas for this position will be to support ongoing stress testing activities, including the annual CCAR submission as well as quarterly risk appetite exercises. You will partner with colleagues in Corporate Capital Stress Testing, Risk functions, and the line of business areas.
Job responsibilities
- Prepare executive presentation materials for CFO, CRO, and/or CEO
- Contribute key insights in the development and implementation of standards for capital stress testing
- Perform needed execution steps to load financial projections for multiple economic scenarios to our local Essbase cubes
- Maintain methodology narratives and standard operating procedures as needed
- Document new and existing estimation methodologies and build out/automation of tools
- Execute initiatives to continually improve and enhance existing processes
- Lead ad-hoc analytical requests from senior management, other functions, and regulatory agencies
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 6+ years of corporate finance experience in banking
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel & PowerPoint in particular)
- Working knowledge of Income Statement and Balance Sheet with familiarity of associated banking products or willingness to learn
- The candidate must be a creative self-starter who is able to meet deadlines under pressure in a fast paced and results driven environment
- A detail-oriented problem solver with proven ability to evaluate processes, controls, and issues to determine and assess risks
- Confidence to take ownership of tasks, working independently and contributing to the broader team
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience with Essbase/Dodeca Add-in
