Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for supporting the men's and women's basketball programs through the development, implementation, and execution of a year-round strategic plan for recruiting operations. Works in collaboration with the Marketing & Creative Service and Communications staff to promote the basketball programs through creative content for all types of digital media.
Essential Functions:
- 30% - Content Creation - Responsible for the creation of digital content related the recruiting efforts of the men's and women's basketball programs. Creates and produces content for all digital media platforms in order to effectively communicate the Gonzaga brand for men's and women's basketball prospective student-athletes. Creates and produces content delivered for basketball student-athletes to enhance their personal brands. Collaborates with Athletic Department staff members to ensure creative content adheres to Gonzaga University brand standards. Assists with creation of videoboard graphics and elements. Assist with athletic department media day (photo / video shoots). Must have a story telling creative mind for long form video concepts. - (Essential)
- 35% - Basketball Recruiting Operations - Serves as primary contact for content for the recruitment of prospective student athletes for the men's and women's basketball programs. Coordinates the digital recruiting efforts of the men's and women's basketball programs, including, but not limited to, official visits, unofficial visits, home visits, recruiting correspondence, and general recruiting travel. Responsible for photo and video shoot execution for recruit visits. Responsible for staying current on all NCAA Rules. - (Essential)
- 30% - Social Media/Digital Creation - Responsible for the oversight and execution of the men's and women's basketball social media accounts. Content creation/posting on both teams' social accounts. Participates in social media educational programming to basketball student-athletes related to Name, Image, Likeness. Develop a strong student intern creative team to help enhance the basketball social media and recruiting efforts. - (Essential)

Educational Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
Years of Related Experience Requirement:
1 year
In lieu of the educational qualifications, candidates may qualify with equivalent professional experience at a ratio of one year of experience for each year of required education.
Certifications and/or Licensures:
Valid driver's license
Skills & Abilities:
Bachelor's degree
1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, or related field
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate and work well with others
Demonstrated ability as a self-starter and detail oriented
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively and efficiently
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree
Well versed in Adobe Creative Suite
Prior experience in Division I athletics or related field
Prior experience in graphic design and visual communication
Prior experience producing and editing video content
Innovative storyteller using any effective form of communication
Knowledge of current social media trends and digital content strategies
Prior experience with ARMS software system
Knowledge of and passion for collegiate athletics
Ability to work in a time sensitive, team-oriented, collaborative environment with irregular hours, including nights and weekends
Physical & On-Campus Requirements:

The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to offer for this position: minimum ~60,000
