Description
Robin Kelly for Senate is looking for a Creative Director to lead an innovative and creative digital program. The Creative Director’s primary responsibilities will be managing the campaign’s social media channels, finding new ways to engage and empower voters in a new media environment, cultivating relationships with content creators, and working with the digital fundraising team to raise money online and ensure the campaign is communicating with a consistent voice across platforms.
The Creative Director will work closely with the communications team, media consultants, and the candidate to build out the campaign’s brand and messaging. Ideal candidates will believe in the power of visual storytelling to persuade and turn out voters, raise money and win elections.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of content creation from conception, drafting scripts, filming, editing, and posting.
- Regularly post on the campaign’s social media platforms, taking care to create content that differentiates between platforms.
- Work with the communications team to identify non-traditional media outlets and opportunities.
- Concept and design graphics for a variety of platforms and uses.
- Find new ways for the campaign to use digital organizing tools.
- Work with digital fundraising consultants to produce compelling fundraising content.
- Act as a member of the campaign’s senior leadership team.
Salary & Logistics
The salary for this position is between $8,000-$10,000 per month depending on experience.
This role will require travel throughout Illinois. Applications must be based in or willing to relocate within a commutable distance to Chicago.
