The Development Manager will work collaboratively within our Development Department, with a focus on individual giving and donor stewardship. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under the guidance of the Development leadership team, execute the annual development plan with a focus on cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual gifts.
- Build and maintain relationships with a portfolio of 100–125 individuals who currently donate or have the potential to give in the future
- Conduct research to identify and qualify potential major gift prospects; support strategies to cultivate and solicit high-capacity donors.
- Support agency-wide events as directed, with a focus on converting event attendees into long-term, engaged donors.
- Implement the organization’s stewardship strategies for both corporate and individual donors, including donor events, creation of collateral materials, personalized thank-you calls, and other recognition efforts.
- Assist in the growth of the Mentor Circle monthly giving program.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to develop and execute both digital and print campaigns, including the annual direct-mail appeal.
- Contribute creative ideas to increase fundraising revenue and enhance donor engagement and loyalty.
- Attend networking events to build professional relationships, strengthen donor cultivation skills, and expand BBBSAZ’s community presence.
- Support organization-wide activities and events, engaging current participants in giving and advocacy.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals of the Development team and the broader organization.
Requirements
Education: (Minimum & preferred educational requirements necessary to perform this job successfully):
Must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an Accredited University.
Related Work Experience:
At least 3 years of development experience.
1 year of experience with Salesforce preferred.
