Responsibilities: The System Director of Clinical Practice Optimization and Efficiency will provide strategic and clinical leadership to advance enterprise-wide initiatives that enhance the quality, safety, and efficiency of oncology care delivery. This role is accountable for designing, standardizing, documenting and optimizing clinical workflows for Piedmont Oncology employed practices, hospital-based oncology departments and care team members to ensure evidence-based practice, operational excellence, and seamless integration. Key responsibilities include oversight of clinical protocols, oncology nurse navigation, clinical care pathways, quality improvement initiatives, and alignment of clinical operations with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements. The role has direct management of the centralized Piedmont Oncology Navigation Center's clinical staff, cancer genetics, and Lead Advanced Practice Providers. The System Director will lead efforts to reduce unwarranted variation, improve throughput, and support resource stewardship while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This position collaborates closely with the Director of Infusion and Radiation Business Operations and hospital-based Directors of Oncology Operations to execute system-wide initiatives that support growth, sustainability, and exceptional clinical care. Qualifications: Education
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Masters degree in Nursing Required or
- Graduate of an accredited accredited Physician Assistants program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board. Required
- Clinical doctoral degree (e.g. Doctor of Nursing Practice) Preferred
- 10 years of progressively responsible oncology experience to include five (5) years of leadership experience managing clinical operations for oncology service lines. Required
- Experience practicing as an advanced practice provider in oncology Preferred
- Licensed for Advanced Practice Nursing (ACNP/FNP) Upon Hire Required or
- PA - Physician Assistant Licensed Physician Assistant in the State of Georgia Upon Hire Required and
- Updated NCCPA certification for PAs Upon Hire Required
