SamaraCare is a growing nonprofit providing affordable, high-quality mental health services to individuals and families throughout Chicagoland regardless of insurance or financial status. With a $7M annual budget and increasing demand, we’re seeking a strategic and hands-on fundraising leader to help fuel our mission.

The Director of Development & Advancement will lead all fundraising and donor engagement efforts, with an initial goal of raising $1M annually. This role oversees major gifts, grants, congregational support, donor relations, events, and campaigns. As part of the leadership team, this person will work closely with the CEO, board, and community partners to build sustainable philanthropic support. This role includes flexible work model and scheduling, but may be more in person as candidate becomes familar with role.

Lead and grow a comprehensive fundraising strategy
Cultivate major donors, foundations, and congregational partners
Write and manage grant proposals and reports
Drive annual giving, donor communications, and events
Represent SamaraCare in the community and faith-based networks
Support board development and cross-functional collaboration
