Your Impact in This Role
You'll be the architect of transformative partnerships that fuel our mission and expand our reach. As our Director of Philanthropic Partnerships, you'll lead comprehensive efforts to cultivate strategic relationships with corporations, civic organizations, and community partners. Your expertise will drive sustainable funding growth, managing 50+ organizational partnerships that generate $400,000+ annually while identifying and developing 20+ new prospective partners each year.
What You'll Do
- Build and steward strategic partnerships with corporations, civic groups, and philanthropic organizations, serving as the primary relationship manager for key business and community partners
- Develop customized engagement opportunities that align partner interests with agency funding priorities, creating meaningful volunteer experiences and mission-driven collaborations
- Lead comprehensive fundraising strategy for organizational partnerships, preparing compelling proposals, presentations, and impact reports tailored to each partner's focus areas
- Drive prospect research and cultivation by identifying and qualifying new partnership opportunities through strategic research and community networking
- Manage peer-to-peer campaigns including 4+ annual For Kids' Sake fundraising events, overseeing OneCause platform setup and donor experience optimization
- Represent the agency as an ambassador at external meetings, networking events, and community gatherings to elevate visibility and attract new supporters
- Collaborate cross-functionally to design engagement menus that secure funding, provide volunteer opportunities, and support seamless mission delivery
Requirements
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, business, or related field
- 3-5 years of proven success in nonprofit fundraising with demonstrated ability to secure major gifts and establish revenue-generating partnerships
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and state-required insurance for extensive community travel (50%+ weekly)
- Stable internet connection for remote work and video conferencing capabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience with Raiser's Edge CRM and OneCause platforms
- Proven track record in relationship management and donor stewardship
- Experience with corporate partnership development and moves management strategies
- Background in prospect research methodologies and strategic cultivation
