OverviewValley Country Club is seeking a Director of Racquet Sports to lead and enhance the club's racquet sports program, which includes tennis, pickleball, and other racquet activities. This position is responsible for creating an engaging and inclusive racquets experience for members of all ages and skill levels. The Director will focus on programming, instruction, staff leadership, and community building, while ensuring a high-quality operation aligned with the club's vision.Annual compensation: $75k - $95k BOE**About Valley Country Club**Located in Centennial, Colorado, just south of Denver, Valley Country Club is part of a vibrant community known for its proximity to the Rocky Mountains and access to outdoor recreation. The club serves as a gathering place for members, offering high-quality facilities, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere.**Key Responsibilities**1. Racquets Program Development & Leadership:- Design, implement, and oversee a dynamic calendar of tennis, pickleball, and racquet sport programs.- Build junior, adult, and social racquet offerings to engage players of all abilities.- Establish clear performance standards and training for racquets staff.- Manage court scheduling, maintenance standards, and safety protocols.2. Member Experience & Engagement:- Deliver exceptional service and instruction to members, fostering a culture of fun, learning, and improvement.- Actively engage with members to encourage participation in racquet activities.- Promote inclusivity and community within the racquets program, ensuring members feel welcomed and supported.3. Instruction & Player Development:- Provide private lessons, group clinics, and team coaching.- Recruit, train, and manage racquets professionals and instructors to deliver consistent, high-quality instruction.- Support competitive play, leagues, and interclub opportunities.4. Events & Marketing:- Plan and execute racquet-related events, tournaments, and socials that enhance the member experience.- Collaborate with the Marketing and Membership teams to promote racquet programs internally and in the community.- Contribute to the club's visibility by networking with local and regional racquet associations.5. Experience Required
- 7+ years of experience in racquets management, preferably at a private club or resort.- USPTA, PTR, or PPR professional certification (or equivalent).- Proven success in program development and member engagement.- Strong teaching and coaching background for tennis and/or pickleball.- Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing staff and budgets.- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to exceptional member service.
