Description
Join Qiddiya Investment Company as an Environmental Senior Manager - Roads Program to lead the environmental planning and management of our ambitious Roads development initiatives. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our infrastructure projects are designed and executed in compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability benchmarks, effectively minimizing their ecological impact.Your leadership will be pivotal in guiding project teams on best practices for environmental stewardship, while fostering a culture of sustainability throughout the planning and implementation phases. You will play a crucial role in liaising with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and the local community to promote environmentally responsible development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the environmental management efforts for the Roads Program, ensuring that all projects adhere to national and international environmental regulations.
- Conduct comprehensive environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and develop mitigation strategies to address potential environmental risks associated with road construction.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to incorporate sustainable practices and technologies into project planning and implementation.
- Prepare and present environmental sustainability reports to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Oversee compliance monitoring and audits, ensuring corrective actions are taken when necessary.
- Engage with local communities and stakeholders to promote transparency and gather feedback on environmental initiatives.
- Develop training programs and materials to educate project teams on environmental policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in environmental management and integrate relevant advancements into the Roads Program.
Requirements
- Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is highly desirable.
- Experience:
- At least 8-10 years of experience in environmental management, with a focus on infrastructure projects, preferably in road construction or transportation.
- Proven expertise in conducting environmental assessments and managing compliance processes.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations relevant to infrastructure development.
- Familiarity with environmental assessment tools, GIS, and reporting software.
