I am partnering with my client, a successful and well-established Hedge Fund to identify a talented Equity Research Analyst to join their Hong Kong office. This is a strategic hire: the firm's first on‑the‑ground research analyst dedicated to China/Hong Kong equities (A‑shares, H‑shares, ADRs).

The Opportunity

• Play a central role in building out the firm's China coverage.
• Work alongside experienced portfolio managers on a global platform with significant resources.
• Gain exposure to diverse sectors while developing depth in company‑level analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct bottom‑up research and financial modelling on Chinese companies.
• Monitor earnings, sector trends, regulatory changes, and macro developments.
• Present clear, well‑argued investment recommendations to portfolio managers.
• Maintain relationships with company management teams and sell‑side analysts.

Candidate Profile

• 2-8+ years of relevant experience in equity research, investment banking, or buy‑side analysis with China/HK coverage.
• Solid technical skills: Financial modelling, valuation, and industry analysis.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English, with strong communication skills.
• Intellectual curiosity, commercial judgement, and a genuine interest in investing.
