Description
SummaryAndaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalow's is seeking an experienced and results-driven Executive Housekeeping Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our housekeeping operations. This is a key leadership position responsible for both the strategic direction and daily management of the department, with an emphasis on service excellence, operational efficiency, and team development. The Executive Housekeeping Manager will help ensure our resort maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction, reflecting the unique spirit of the Andaz brand. This position reports to Rooms Director.
Essential Functions include:
- Lead all short- and long-term planning of housekeeping and laundry operations to align with Andaz's service culture.
- Develop, recommend, and manage the department's annual budget, labor cost plans, and operational goals.
- Maintain accurate supply inventories and cost-effective purchasing of linens, supplies, and equipment.
- Train and coach employees on the importance of guest interaction and courteous resolution of requests.
- Personally inspect guest rooms daily and maintain a robust quality assurance inspection program.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, OSHA, and ADA guidelines and procedures.
- Collaborate closely with all hotel departments to support a seamless and welcoming guest experience.
- Oversee vendor relationships to ensure proper pricing, timely deliveries, and effective maintenance support.
- Stay current on new housekeeping and laundry technologies and implement improvements where appropriate.
- Mentor, train, and supervise a multicultural and multilingual staff, creating an inclusive and high-performing environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds, including culture, ethnicity, and disability.
- Manage special accommodations for VIP guests and group needs.
- Ensure staffing levels align with business needs and maintain labor cost controls.
- Provide coaching and performance feedback in alignment with Hyatt service standards and brand values.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
- Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
- At least 2 years progressive management experience within the Rooms Division of a hotel
- Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
- Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
- Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
- Bilingual language skills is a plus
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
