Come join a great nationwide health and wellness company as a Fitness General Manager at Henry Mayo Health and Fitness in Valencia, California.
The Fitness General Manager (GM) is responsible for the overall direction, as well as, day to day operations of assigned Club including programming, fitness, massage, children’s programs, locker rooms, housekeeping, maintenance, front desk, accounting, sales and marketing and personnel as appropriate for the fitness center. The GM develops and implements short and long-range planning and implementation of new programs, policies and procedures. The GM also prepares regular reports on the state of the facility and progress towards achieving agreed upon goals.
The following duties and responsibilities are given as examples of the various types of work performed in this position. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Develops a strategic plan to address financial and clinical goals of the club.
Evaluates existing club programs and oversees implementation of new programs to meet member needs, keep members motivated and active in the club.
Assists the center’s senior management staff in the hiring, training, and evaluation of all personnel.
Assures that employees are trained in customer service to maintain the highest level of customer guest relations is delivered throughout the club.
Assures that the club is comfortable, clean and that the highest level of safety is maintained throughout the center.
Oversees maintenance and housekeeping functions. Ensures that the facility and equipment is always kept in proper working order.
Oversees departmental operations and facilitates the development and implementation of creative, innovative, and profitable programs.
Develops a positive relationship with the hospital and their clinical services to encourage maximum coordination, usage, programming, and consistency for special populations.
Identifies the hospital’s needs for patient care programs and assures they are developed where desired and feasible.
Prepares monthly and periodic reports for hospital administration and Healthplex Associates on the state of the center and the progress on annual and year to date goals.
Assures that the contract between Healthplex Associates and the hospital is adhered to and fulfilled to the benefit of both parties.
Performs other related duties as assigned
This is a salaried, exempt position with potential yearly bonus based on the overall performance of the center.
