The I&I Manager will play a leading role in developing sharp, actionable insights and forward thinking, to drive growth through category, brand, innovation and portfolio marketing plans. The role will partner with the Consumer & Shopper Planners, Brand Team, Category Development Team and Customer Activation Leads, Commercial and Business Development teams ensuring that the teams are fully equipped with comprehensive landscape understanding. It will provide data and define powerful insights, that support development of Diageo strategy, inspire big marketing and innovation ideas, as well as winning commercial plans. This role has a high degree of technical complexity in terms of data knowledge and understanding.
- Lead marketing effectiveness strategy.
- Ensures data and insights are translated into strategies.
- Support LT with ad hoc insight requests as required.
- Manage the relationship with agency partners (Nielsen, Kantar, etc); prioritising their workload & continually reviewing performance with a view to maximising return on investment. Own local agreements and negotiations.
- Drive the market data strategy and systems capability agenda in Eastern Europe to ensure the brand, category and commercial teams are leveraging the maximum benefit from insight resources.
- Lead the Marketing Effectiveness Agenda within Eastern Europe
ABOUT YOU
- Experience of analytical roles using a variety of data sources (external and internal), to create actionable insight; e.g. Nielsen (must), IWSR / GfK / Kantar (nice to have).
- Passionate about consumer understanding and applying knowledge to drive business growth.
- Proven strategic thinking.
- Evidence of sound quantitative analysis, ability to accurately digest large amounts of information and break down complex problems thoroughly.
- An ability to bring the future to today's world and roadmap actions to make it happen.
- Experience in spotting opportunities or issues and identifying which are urgent and important.
- Compelling, persuasive and impactful communications skills.
- High energy and ambition to achieve successful outcomes and high standards.
- Resilience combined with emotional intelligence to build collaborative and powerful relationships.
- Knowledge or experience of the alcohol world is advantageous, but not imperative.
- Experience in managing agency relationships and data planning & analysis.
