International Intercompany Billing Manager - Lead Global Financial Operations at Sedgwick, Johannesburg
Sedgwick is seeking a dynamic and experienced International Intercompany Billing Manager to lead its global billing operations from Johannesburg. This pivotal role sits within the Finance and Accounting department and is responsible for managing the end-to-end intercompany billing process across multiple international entities. The successful candidate will ensure that all transactions are executed accurately, timely, and in full compliance with international accounting standards and corporate policies.
As a strategic leader, you will oversee a dedicated team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to streamline processes, enhance automation, and resolve complex reconciliation issues across regions. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting month-end and year-end close activities, preparing journal entries, and maintaining robust account reconciliations.
This role demands a strong foundation in international accounting principles and intercompany processes, along with proven leadership experience in a global environment. Key Skills & Competencies:
- Accounting Expertise - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a strong foundation in financial principles.
- Intercompany Experience - Skilled in intercompany accounting, including experience in a managerial or leadership role.
- International Knowledge - Solid understanding of international accounting standards, intercompany processes, and transfer pricing.
- ERP Proficiency - Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
- Advanced Excel Skills - High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Leadership Ability - Proven track record of managing teams, providing mentorship, and driving performance.
- Analytical Thinking - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex global transactions and reconciliations.
- Communication Skills - Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration.
- Process Improvement - Demonstrated success in implementing process enhancements and automation initiatives.
- Global Perspective - Ability to work effectively across different cultures, regions, and time zones.
- Preferred Experience - Background in multinational corporations with complex intercompany structures.
- Tax and Currency Knowledge - Familiarity with foreign currency transactions and global tax considerations.
