- Investment Analyst, Private Equity Funds and Co-investments

Performance Equity is seeking to recruit an investment analyst to join its investment team in a highly visible role. The ideal candidate will participate as a generalist in a focused organizational environment with involvement in all aspects of the investment process. The firm promotes a culture that is highly collaborative and collegial. The structure is non-hierarchal with direct access to multiple investment partners, providing a comprehensive training and mentorship experience for ongoing career development.
Location: Greenwich, CT - hybrid schedule (Tu-Th in office; M/F optional remote)
Role and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and monitor the performance of fund managers and underlying portfolio companies.
- Support the due diligence process by evaluating new private equity fund investments, direct co-investments , and secondary transactions.
- Prepare, analyze, and explain historical and projected financial information.
- Produce written reports and presentations for the investment committee summarizing investment recommendations and providing analytical support.
- Support portfolio review and valuation process.
- Assist in maintaining the internal fund and company database.
- Complete analytical projects related to performance attribution, portfolio construction, investment strategy, and industry trends.
- Assist with the preparation of client update and reporting materials.
- Attend meetings with existing and potential fund managers.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
Experience, Skills, and Personal Qualities:
- 1-2 years of solid investment and/or analytical work experience, not including student internships.
- Background in asset management, equity research, consulting, or accounting preferred.
- Essential technical skills include background in investments, detail-orientation, and strong analytical, modeling, and quantitative skills.
- Successful initiative-taker with proven ability to manage demands of multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment, including ability to prioritize time efficiently and manage heavy workloads while remaining attentive to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with high integrity and professionalism.
- Demonstrated understanding of, or strong desire to further deepen knowledge of private equity, company valuation techniques, accounting concepts, and basic financial modeling.
- Team player; collaborative and active contributor, with a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude.
- Highly technical, critical, and analytical by nature.
Education and Credentials:
- An undergraduate degree in business, economics, or other analytical field from a leading educational institution (minimum GPA of 3.4). Pre-MBA applicants only.
- CFA certification a plus
Compensation:
- $90,000 - $110,000 annual base salary plus a discretionary bonus dependent on experience and other qualifications.
