Description

United Digestive is seeking an Anesthesia Medical Director to lead anesthesia services for GI Anesthesia of Georgia, LLC (GIA) at our affiliated endoscopy centers. This role is responsible for overseeing anesthesia operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and guiding both clinical and administrative functions.

This role combines administrative leadership and hands-on clinical responsibilities within the anesthesia department. Administratively, it involves overseeing operations, developing policies, leading quality assurance efforts, participating in governance meetings, supporting staffing and budgeting, and mentoring the anesthesia team. Clinically, the role includes performing pre-op assessments, administering anesthesia, managing patient care before and after procedures, leading emergency responses, and providing direct anesthesia services.

Requirements

• Board-certified Anesthesiologist with ACGME/AOA-accredited training
• Active Georgia and Florida medical licenses (United Digestive will assist and cover licensure
  costs)
• Unrestricted DEA registration (Schedules II-IV)
• Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology (MOCA) and CME compliance per ABA and
  state requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of anesthesia experience (leadership experience preferred but not required)
• Advanced life support competency and adherence to ASA ethical guidelines
