EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY – TRANSPLANT ICU MEDICAL DIRECTOR
The Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin (F & MCW) Transplant Service Line is seeking a Medical Director of the dedicated Transplant ICU. We are seeking a leader with a focus and experience in management of pre- and post- liver patients as well as critically ill kidney/pancreas post-transplant patients.
The adult transplant ICU is a 20-bed unit dedicated to pre- and post- transplant patients. The ICU admits XXXX patients per year. To support the ICU the unit has highly trained ICU nurses, dedicated ICU APPs, and a group of TICU multi-disciplinary intensivists from medicine, emergency medicine, and surgery. The ICU team is also supported by a robust team of hepatologists, nutritionists, pharmacists, and discharge planning.
Opportunity
Full-time faculty position within the MCW Division of Trauma/Acute Care Surgery section of Surgical Critical Care with a secondary appointment in the Division of Transplant Surgery.
Opportunity to grow the adult transplant ICU program in close collaboration with the Liver Transplant Medical Director.
Contribute to the clinical education of fellows, residents, medical students, and other trainees.
Focus on a patient-centered approach to delivery of care and engage in a climate of inquiry, quality, and safety.
Participate in the academic, research and educational missions of the institution.

Salary, research support, and benefits will be commensurate with rank and experience, and the candidate will hold appropriate academic rank in the Medical College of Wisconsin School of Medicine.

Requirements
Education, training, and experience required:
Candidates must be Board Certified in Critical Care.
Candidates must be eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin.
Candidates must have experience managing decompensated liver disease and post-liver/kidney/pancreas critically ill patients.
