Medical Director (DVM) – Lead with Fun Next to Lake Minnetonka!

Ever wanted to be the boss without the stress of bossy people? St. Boni Pet Hospital is seeking a Medical Director to lead our merry band of vet pros. Whether you're a seasoned MD looking for a smoother gig-or an ambitious Associate Veterinarian who's ready to trade their stethoscope for one with a little more sparkle-we'd love to chat.

We're a full-service, AAHA-accredited hospital for cats, dogs, and occasionally… a very confused squirrel. We're located right by Lake Minnetonka, so you can trade scrubs for swimsuits after work (not in the parking lot, please).

You'll join a 4-doctor squad (2.5 FTEs) and an amazing support team with the loyalty of a Labrador and the brainpower of a Border Collie. Our culture? Supportive, nerdy, close-knit-and just the right amount of weird.

We've got:

• 4 exam rooms + 1 comfort room (great for end-of-life care or awkward conversations about hairballs)
• Rehab/Laser therapy, acupuncture, top-tier diagnostics
• Lunch-and-learns, CE support, and a shared commitment to constant learning
• A clinic cat who may or may not be in charge

Your Day-to-Day (a.k.a. What You'll Actually Be Doing):

• 80–90% Vet Stuff: Examining, diagnosing, treating, preventing, and cuddling.
• 10–20% Leadership Stuff: Guiding your fellow docs, coaching through challenges, and setting the gold standard in medicine-with a healthy respect for snacks and sarcasm.
• Not ready to be thrown into the deep end of leadership? No worries-we'll give you floaties. This is a perfect "starter clinic" for someone dipping their paw into management. We've got a year-long leadership development program, plus tons of local support.

The Schedule:

• 4-day workweek
• 3 days on the floor, 1 admin/flex day
• No weekends, no on-call. Seriously. Go live your life.
• We believe in work-life balance, not just the kind people put on job ads and then ignore. You want Wednesdays off to go paddleboarding or binge dog videos? Let's talk.

You're Ideal If You:

• Are licensed in Minnesota (or eligible to be)
• Have at least 2-3 years of experience (Leadership background? Great. If not, we'll help you get there.)
• Think "teamwork" isn't just a buzzword
• Can coach and support others-or are excited to learn how
• Communicate clearly with clients, staff, and the occasional pug wearing a tutu
