Position Title: Digital Director
Supervisor: Finance Director & Executive Director
Employment Status: Full Time / Exempt - Salaried / UFCW 75 Bargaining Unit
The Ohio House Democratic Caucus (OHDC) is seeking a Digital Director to oversee and grow our digital program for the 2026 election cycle- an immensely important year for Ohio. The Digital Director will lead strategy and execution across social media, email, SMS, and digital ads to amplify our message, engage voters, and raise the resources needed to grow this caucus.
The ideal candidate is both creative and data-driven, with a strong grasp of how digital tools support overall campaign strategy. They should thrive in a fast-paced environment, be comfortable managing a team, and stay current with online trends and innovations.
Compensation
Salary range is between $54,000-$60,000 annually and is dependent on experience. Benefits include health, vision, dental, life insurance, and flexible paid time off per the UFCW Local 75 collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements
The Digital Director duties will include:
Strategy & Management
- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy that integrates fundraising,
communications, and organizing goals. - Manage and support the digital content team, providing direction and feedback.
- Ensure cohesive messaging across all digital platforms, aligned with campaign priorities.
- Work with 2026 targeted candidates to inform and develop their digital strategies
Fundraising
- Write, edit, and produce persuasive fundraising emails, texts, and ads that reflect the Leader’s voice.
- Collaborate with the Finance Director & Executive Director to identify key moments for rapid-response fundraising.
- Monitor daily digital fundraising performance to ensure projections are being met.
- Work with partners to coordinate split sends and other collaborative fundraising efforts.
Content & Engagement
- Oversee social media strategy and execution across existing and emerging platforms.
- Work with OHDC team members and the state party to apply opponent messaging across digital channels.
- Lead digital partner engagement efforts, including creating toolkits for validators, elected officials, and allied organizations.
- Support influencer outreach and manage relationships with digital surrogates.
- Brainstorm and propose creative content and long-term projects that expand reach and engagement.
Rapid Response & Events
- Monitor social media for rapid response and engagement opportunities.
- Work with team members to respond quickly to breaking news.
- Support content needs at events, including recording video, audio, and photos.
- Travel and staff campaign events as needed.
Qualified candidates will have:
- An ability to reprioritize their priorities quickly to respond to breaking news and the changing online environment
- An understanding of some or all of these fundraising channels: email, broadcast & peer-to-peer SMS, ads, etc.
- An understanding of campaign comms strategy and strong political instincts
- Attention to detail and ability to stay organized while working on multiple projects with varying deadlines
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communications stills
