Job Title: Open Rank Faculty; Director of Clinical Education Physical TherapyDepartment: Physical TherapyFLSA: Exempt Location: Suwanee, GA POSITION SUMMARY The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) is seeking a Director of Clinical Education (DCE) for the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. As a core faculty member, the DCE will provide leadership and oversight of all aspects of clinical education, including the development and coordination of clinical experiences, partnerships with clinical sites, and student mentoring. Working closely with the Assistant Director of Clinical Education, the DCE will foster strong relationships with clinical partners, guide students as they transition from classroom to practice, and ensure they are well-prepared to meet the demands of todays healthcare environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Provide leadership and oversight of the ongoing development, implementation, and assessment of the clinical experiences within the Program.• Develop and maintain relationships with appropriate sites in which students can participate in clinical experiences.• Communicate, as the academic programs representative, with personnel at the affiliated sites utilized for clinical experiences.• Facilitate assessment of student performance in the clinical experiences.• Address individual student learning/conduct issues in order to maximize success in clinical experiences.• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards related to faculty development, program assessment, and management of student academic/conduct issues.• Perform other duties as assigned or requested. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education• A degree in physical therapy from an accredited, entry-level program. Experience and Qualifications• Minimum of three years of full-time post-licensure clinical experience.• Two years of experience as a clinical instructor or Site Coordinator of Clinical Education OR two years of experience in teaching, curriculum development and administration in a physical therapy education program.• Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment.• Demonstrated history of successful time management and organization.• Demonstrated history of nurturing learning in a diversity-rich environment.• Knowledge in the management of information, particularly computer technology. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations• Must be licensed or eligible for a license in the State of Georgia (required)• Certification by APTA as an Advanced Credentialed Clinical Instructor
