Pharmacy Director, Yakima, WA | $175,000-$190,000 Annually

Day to Day:
- Supervise and help train pharmacists, ancillary staff, externs, residents, and pharmacy students.
- Lead pharmacy quality assurance activities to improve patient service and responsiveness to patient needs.
- Identify and participate in integration efforts where pharmacy can improve quality measures for YNHS patients.
- Participate in other QA as directed by the Chief Medical Officer, COO, and administrative staff.
- Develop and implement business practices of YNHS pharmacies.
- Develop, implement, and oversee 340B drug program monitoring and compliance, including oversight of contract pharmacies.
- Manage required licensing for Health Care Entities.
- Dispensing legend and non-legend medications for YNHS patients and other YNHS-contracted sites.
- Provide drug information to patients, nurses, physicians, trainees, and other employees by using available resources and references.
- Order and maintain medication stock
- Work closely with finance staff to oversee Point of Sale and insurance relationships.
- Work with supervisors and administrative staff to address organization-wide issues, including program development, training needs, safety concerns, and quality assurance indicators.
- Make recommendations and/or decisions for improvement based on the impact on the organization, rather than any single department.
- Maintain an organized, clean, efficient, and confidential work area.
- Represent YNHS in meetings as requested.
- Perform related work and other tasks as requested.
Requirements
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a team member who is passionate about serving our community of patients and will enjoy working for a busy Community Health Center in Yakima! Some technical requirements for this position are:
- Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a B.S degree in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy, Washington State licensure, and at least five years’ experience in an ambulatory clinic or hospital setting.
- Knowledge of 340b drug program desired.
- Management and supervisory experience preferred.
- Candidate must also have the ability to speak clearly and concisely.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
- Convenient if bilingual English/Spanish, and or ability to sign.
