Job Description:Department Overview
The EC Solution Development Department's mission is to promote and expand the diversity of the marketplace. The team develops tools and services essential for the operation of merchants on Rakuten Ichiba, while also working on the expansion of various EC services and the launch of new EC services.
The Marketplace Expansion Development Section develops and operates services such as the J.League Online Store, Furusato Nozei (Hometown Tax), Rakken, and Raxy. Additionally, the team is responsible for launching new EC-related services with the goal of expanding and growing Rakuten's marketplace. This is a highly challenging department where you can gain unique and valuable experiences that are distinct to Rakuten.

Position Details
As a Product Manager, your role is to define the vision and strategy for the product through market research and customer needs analysis, create requirements and roadmaps based on business demands, and collaborate with stakeholders and related departments to maximize customer value and achieve business goals through the product.
- Define the product vision, strategy, and KPIs
- Manage and operate roadmaps and backlogs
- Communicate and report with stakeholders and related departments
- Define specifications and document them
- Research and analyze user/partner challenges and identify key issues
Mandatory Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager
- Strong knowledge and expertise in software development
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to define requirements with both a user-centric and business-oriented perspective
- A "commitment" mindset toward product growth and project success
- Experience in directly communicating with engineers, project managers, and business owners
- Extensive knowledge related to the responsibilities outlined in the job description
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in product management for EC services
- Experience in working with cross-border services
- Experience in mentoring and developing Product Managers
- Experience in project management
- Basic knowledge of engineering or equivalent development experience as an engineer
- Experience in projects primarily conducted in English
