Could you be the full Project Procurement Manager (f/m/d) in Salzgitter we're looking for?
Your Future Role
2,000 colleagues shape in Salzgitter the future of green mobility. They design and manufacture hydrogen and electric-powered vehicles, locomotives, and trams, produce bogies, and repair all kinds of freight wagons. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You'll report to Dunja Richter and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
We'll look for you to:
- Define and implement the Project Procurement Strategy in full respect of Quality Cost Delivery (QCD) commitments
- At project start, get QCD Procurement Commitment as built at tender phase, secure the commitments are well understood by the Procurement Teams
- Define the Project Procurement strategy
- Ensure the Project Procurement strategy is shared, understood, applied by the procurement teams
- In collaboration with Legal Department, build and publish the specific legal requirements to be applied for the project
- Coordinate, consolidate and secure Procurement activities, performance & efficiency on whole project
- Manage buyers working on the project for a proper contribution to the project QCD (functional report)
- Have a general vision of the Project's / suppliers' progress, stakes and difficulties. Define and agree with Procurement the corrective measures
- Orchestrate Contract creation and execution activities as well as claims if required
- Ensure Business Award decision compliancy with Project Procurement strategy and QCD requirements
- Ensure QCD performance of procurement and material work packages are properly reported considering the lifetime of the project
All About You

- Master's degree in Purchasing or a related field (Engineering, Project Management, etc.)
- Around 5 years of experience in areas such as Project Management, Procurement, Engineering, or Quality
- Strong interest in technical topics
- Solid understanding of contract management and legal awareness
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team spirit
- Confidence to challenge ideas and drive improvements
- Results-oriented mindset with a rigorous and structured approach
- International outlook and fluency in English
