Position Description:
The Regional Campaign Director will lead voter contact efforts in Jersey City, overseeing organizers, working with community partners, and making sure outreach goals are met. This position combines strategy with hands-on organizing, and the ideal candidate has experience on a large campaign and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement field plans to meet voter contact and mobilization goals.
Supervise, train, and support volunteers
Track and analyze voter contact data using VAN (Voter Activation Network) to guide strategy.
Coordinate with the campaign’s communications, digital, and political teams to ensure message discipline and consistency.
Manage canvassing operations, phone banks, text campaigns, and GOTV efforts.
Report progress to the Campaign Manager and contribute to broader campaign strategy discussions.
Requirements
Qualifications
At least one cycle of experience on a large coordinated campaign or equivalent statewide/mayoral race.
Strong familiarity with VAN and voter contact data management.
Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate staff and volunteers.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to meet deadlines and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
A passion for grassroots politics and a commitment to electing a Democratic mayor who will fight for all of Jersey City.
