We are seeking a talented, motivated, growth-minded, and creative individual to join our team of professionals as Research Analyst. 

The Research Services Department serves the firm’s research and information needs by leveraging state-of-the-art research technologies to deliver valuable insight, information, and analysis. The department is continuously evaluating new products, including AI enhanced resources in order to enhance efficiencies of attorneys and staff. The Research Analyst will provide expert level business and legal research support to attorneys and staff across all firm practice groups, jurisdictions and administrative departments.

Responsibilities

•         Conduct legal, business, and technical research of varying degrees of complexity.
•         Synthesize research to compose and professionally present concise analysis of complex matters, adapting to the practice area and requester’s needs.
•         Collaborate effectively with peers to complete research requests received from attorneys and firm staff.
•         Manage alerts, trainings, and advanced projects for each assigned across practice areas.
•         Conduct orientation on library resources and services for new associates, counsel, and staff for assigned embedded practices areas.
•         Attend practice group meetings for assigned practice areas to communicate library resources and services.
•         Assist Research Managers and Director of Research with evaluation of potential new research platforms.
•         Assist Research Manager with document research procedures unique to specific research projects within their assigned embedded practice area.

•         Superior interpersonal written and verbal communication skills. Must have a high level of attention to detail.

•         Strong writing skills with the ability to deliver professional, client-ready research memos and reports.
•         Strong presentation skills and professional presence.
•         Ability to work independently with a high degree of professionalism.
•         Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience or Skills

•         M.L.S from an accredited institution OR  
•         7+ years experience in a law firm library/ research center.
•         Excellent research skills, utilizing print and electronic resources, including proficiency in Westlaw, Lexis, Lex Machina, Bloomberg, CCH (Vital Law) and Intelligize. Strong knowledge of SEC filings and familiarity with practice specific databases such as S&P Capital IQ Pro, DealPointData, Factset, Octus, Filings Expert, Chapter 11 Dockets, etc. is a plus.
•         Experience with Quest request management software is a plus.
