Description
The Lead Project Manager will be responsible for the management of Marsh Technology application projects and programs focusing on the UK . This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives , optimizing resource allocation, and driving the successful delivery of technology projects. You will be part of a global team, with the opportunity to work across a range of technologies and lines of business.We will count on you to:
- Implement appropriate project governance and manage all project stakeholders and team members in the successful delivery of the project
- Understand the goals of the program, challenges technical decisions and assumptions as appropriate , communicating effectively to the right audience in a timely manner
- Clearly outlining the methodology and approach for the program delivery and ensure that realistic plans are prepared and maintained , updating the required parties in a timely manner
- Manage work-streams, prepare status reports and interface with stakeholders to ensure execution aligns with defined objectives to ensure progress within time and budget constraints
- Ensure comprehensive scope document is in place at the start of the project, and continuously reviews the scope document as the project progresses and manages changes of scope effectively
- Facilitate and identify/elicit risks and ensure issues are tracked, managed and escalated as needed
- Recommend corrective actions on projects as needed, holds teams and individuals accountable for meeting timelines and milestones
- Follow a thorough delivery methodology and engages with internal and external resources to ensure the overall quality of the project maintained , identifying , managing and mitigating issues in a timely manner in line with established change control mechanisms and approvals
- Understand the business needs, the benefits and value that is expected and makes it happen
- Ensure alignment, continual assessment and adjustment of program outcomes in line with strategic objectives - be innovative and have market, industry and product/service knowledge as well as financial and business knowledge
- Facilitate development of comprehensive i mplementation and b enefits realisation plans to ensure successful delivery and adoption of key changes
- Manage stakeholder's expectations, liaising with sponsors to ensure the right control mechanisms and governance frameworks are followed
- Responsible for all financial aspects of the project throughout its lifecycle, managing to a set budget, implementing change control and reporting mechanisms to provide stakeholders the most accurate view as planned or requested
- M anage the use of resources to ensure they are available to the projects and used effectively. As team manager, build collaborative and engaging teams, motivating and controlling performance to ensure best results
- Manage meetings productively and recap/track discussions and actions
- Utilise personal style to influence and manage conflicting opinions
What you need to have:
- Significant experience in a variety of IT roles including project & program management delivery. M ust have experience of large scale projects and programmes . Insurance industry specific experience advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Extensive knowledge and experience of structured development methodologies, including Waterfall & Agile, application architectures, cloud, SDLC, product development/software development
- Extensive knowledge and experience of the full project lifecycle, with demonstrable evidence of end to end delivery
- Working knowledge in all areas of technology (infrastructure, applications, SDLC, end-user platforms and IT Operations)
- Experience of working with third parties/vendors/outsourcers to facilitate the delivery of business applications and of working in a matrix, vendor resourced environment
- Clear knowledge of software system /product development to understand the complexities of Operations Support Systems development and the inter-system integration dependencies and the required test environments.

- P MP qualifications; Agile training and experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Office 365/Teams// Excel Project & Visio
- Experience of leveraging AI and identifying opportunities to implement AI
- Ability to manage multiple projects, across varying business and functional units
- Knowledge & proven experience within the Financial Services industry, ideally with Insurance Broking market experience
