About us
We are UCL: a diverse community with the freedom to think differently. From cancer research to climate change, dementia to social inequality, the world is facing huge challenges and we’re determined to solve them.
It is an exciting time to join the Advancement Office as we plan for our biggest ever philanthropy campaign, launching in UCL’s bicentenary year in 2026. We are a team of exceptionally ambitious and passionate individuals working together to achieve remarkable things with global impact. We would love you to be part of this exciting journey.
Equity, diversity and inclusion is important to us. We are committed to creating an environment where everyone is encouraged to give their best and where their unique experiences, perspectives and skills are seen as valuable assets.
About the role
As Senior Proposition Development Manager you’ll play a dynamic role in building the campaign’s foundational philanthropic propositions. You’ll be part of the Advancement Office’s Campaign Proposition function; a creative team of proposition developers and philanthropy writers who are deeply embedded in the fundraising and alumni engagement community at UCL. You’ll work closely with some of the university’s most exciting academics, to scope UCL’s best ideas, and shape these into compelling propositions to be taken to some of the world’s greatest philanthropists.
We’re happy to consider applications to work on a part-time/flexible basis wherever possible (minimum 0.8 FTE – equivalent of 4 days per week, stated salary to be pro-rata).
This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of20%on site. Please note Tuesdays are our in-office day.
About you
You’ll have exceptional project development and writing skills with a proven ability to build projects that secure significant income. You’ll have strong relationship building skills and will work collaboratively with colleagues across UCL to develop propositions that marry donor interests with UCL’s strategic goals. You’ll be a strategic, creative and solutions-focused thinker, with strong attention to detail. Working on multiple projects to tight deadlines, while maintaining the highest editorial standards is essential.
We’re pleased to accept applications from individuals who possess transferable skills and experience drawn from sectors outside of Higher Education.
