Description
Job Description- Provide critical and predictive intelligence on activities in the regulatory space to enable the Company to take proactive measures regarding the maintenance of its regulatory license to operate.
- Monitor industry trends and conduct analyses of relevant policies, regulations, legislative proposals, potential risks, and opportunities that may impact the Company's business operations and interests.
- Manage engagements and strategic relationships with regulatory authorities through the coordination of engagements with the relevant regulatory bodies.
- Develop effective advocacy strategies to address regulatory issues and maintain compliance in the constantly evolving regulatory space.
- Leverage existing networks to facilitate access to key government officials and policymakers.
- Liaise with other team members to facilitate the renewal and receipt of various statutory permits and licenses essential for business operations.
- Maintain a register of all licenses and permits to ensure transparency and clear visibility on the status of the Company's permits and licenses.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years post-graduation work experience, with a minimum of 3 years spent in a stakeholder management or public relations function in a reputable organization, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Relevant professional certifications are an added advantage: Certification/membership of relevant Communications/Public Relations professional bodies such as the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR)
Educational Qualification
- A university degree preferably in Social Sciences, Law, Management Science, or comparable disciplines
Skills and Expertise
- Strong knowledge of political and government structures in Nigeria.
- Knowledge of advocacy and stakeholder management.
- Excellent communication, computer, and negotiation skills
- Ability to conduct in-depth policy analysis and provide strategic advice based on evolving legislation and regulatory environments.
