Animal General Hospital in Columbus, Georgia, is looking for an experienced veterinarian to lead our 2-doctor team.
We’re searching for a compassionate veterinarian that values collaboration, loves mentorship, and will fit in perfectly with our positive culture. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to take on a leadership position. Must be licensed, or able to become licensed, in the state of Georgia for consideration.
This is a full-time role with flexible scheduling. There are no weekend, emergency, or on-call services for this position.
Background and Experience:
- Strong leadership skills (prior experience in a leadership role is a plus!)
- Ability to collaborate with our existing team (2 DVMs & talented support members)

Key Responsibilities:
- Grow relationships within the practice and the community
- Encourage the growth of support staff members
- Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments
- Oversee the medical care of all patients
- Serve as the veterinarian of record for all required hospital permits and licenses
- Partner with hospital leadership to ensure medical quality
- Assist Practice Manager with the staffing and scheduling
Compensation:

Animal General Hospital is well-established clinic located near the Alabama/Georgia border in Columbus, GA. We offer a wide range of services, predominantly preventative care, routine surgery, and dentistry. As a full-service small animal practice, we’re well-equipped with ultrasound, digital x-ray, surgical laser, and more. We currently have two skilled Associate DVMs, including one doctor who is a Columbus native. Outside of work, both of our veterinarians enjoy time with their pets and reading.
