Description
Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President to join our clients private equity investment team with a focus on technology and tech-enabled services. This individual will play a leadership role in sourcing, evaluating, executing, and managing investments across the sector. The ideal candidate will bring deep transaction experience, sector insight, and a strong ability to drive value creation in portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal Sourcing & Origination:
- Proactively identify and cultivate relationships with founders, executives, bankers, and intermediaries in the technology and tech-enabled services space.
- Lead initial screening and evaluation of new investment opportunities.
- Transaction Execution:
- Lead due diligence processes, including financial, operational, and market analysis.
- Oversee financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring.
- Manage third-party advisors and coordinate internal deal teams.
- Present investment theses and recommendations to the investment committee.
- Portfolio Management:
- Serve as a key point of contact for portfolio company management teams.
- Drive strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and growth strategies.
- Monitor performance metrics and support exit planning and execution.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Mentor and manage Associates and Analysts.
- Contribute to firm-wide knowledge sharing and process improvement.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, growth equity, or corporate development, with a strong track record in technology or tech-enabled services.
- Proven ability to lead transactions from sourcing through exit.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
