Description
The City of Twin Falls is seeking a strategic and community-focused Airport Manager to lead operations and development at Joslin Field - Magic Valley Regional Airport. This position plays a critical role in ensuring safety, compliance, and growth while serving as the primary spokesperson for the airport.
What You'll Do
- Provide professional leadership and direction for all airport operations and development
- Plan and manage short- and long-term airport needs, including capital improvement projects, grant funding, and tenant leases
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including FAA standards
- Oversee annual inspections, safety programs, emergency drills, and disaster response planning
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate airport staff
- Coordinate construction projects, safety initiatives, and communications with tenants, agencies, and contractors
- Develop policies, budgets, and marketing strategies for City Council approval
- Serve as the spokesperson for airport-related activities and respond to community inquiries
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree in Airport Management, Business, or related field
- At least five (5) years of airport experience, including three (3) years in a supervisory role
- Knowledge of aviation management, FAA regulations, airport planning, budgeting, and marketing
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to build effective partnerships
- Ability to lead staff, make sound decisions under pressure, and demonstrate professionalism and integrity
- Any combination of training and experience that provides the necessary knowledge and skills will be considered.
