Description
We're looking for a Senior Portfolio Culinary Manager (m/f/d) to own and scale our culinary product portfolio across multiple producer relationships and our full add-on range. This role carries end-to-end accountability: from briefing and developing through to post-launch performance, margin review, and SKU optimisation. You'll bring deep expertise in food product development, supplier management, and commercial portfolio thinking, with a proven track record in D2C food or food production organisations. You'll work cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, and Digital Product to ensure our meals perform as well on paper as they do on the plate.
What you will do
- Own the full development cycle for the Lunch and Dinner meal portfolio across core producer relationships: briefing, ingredient sourcing, recipe development, tasting, nutritional validation, packaging lock-in, launch coordination, post-launch optimisation, quality management, and commercial review.
- Manage the add-on portfolio on a continuous optimisation cadence: ongoing performance review, SKU scoring, and category strategy rather than milestone-based pipeline execution.
- strategic oversight of producer lanes covering pipeline, quality, and optimisation.
- Serve as the primary OPS procurement liaison when decisions directly affect the culinary customer experience.
- Lead portfolio performance reviews and SKU scoring across owned categories.
- Design and operate a post-launch review framework.
- Synthesise customer insight and feed findings into roadmap planning.
- Track weighted average CM1 margin and drive directional improvement per lane by Q4 2026.
What you bring
- 5+ years in food product management, culinary product, or category management in a food production or D2C food context.
- Direct experience managing producer or supplier relationships end to end.
- Commercial track record: you have managed margin, COGS, and performance data as part of your core work.
- Strong commercial instinct: you track what is working and act on what is not.
- Ability to build trust with producers and internal stakeholders quickly.
- Comfortable managing across two very different operational rhythms simultaneously.
- Data-driven approach to portfolio decisions, including CM1 and attachment rate analysis.
- You do not wait for systems to be built. You build them.
- Operates independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Strong communicator across functions: OPS, Marketing, Digital Product.
- A genuine interest in food and how people eat, not just as a category but as something that matters.
- Fluent in English; German is a plus but not mandatory.
What we offer:
- 30 vacation days (based on a 5 day week)
- A hybrid work model with a beautiful office in the heart of Kreuzberg Berlin
- 30% employee discount on Every product
- Snacks, drinks and lunch in the office
- Mobility allowance and Urban Sports discount
- Discounts on Mitarbeiterangebote "Corporate Benefits"
